| “Every woman is already beautiful, I have only to underline their beauty and mitigate the little imperfections”. I adore discreet shadows, ample and gentle shades…all must start from corrective make-up..the real start point to do a good make up for every kind of face. Powders moods face volumes simulating naturals lights and shadows, pencils recreate reasonably right hemming for that face. Technical rationality and method are the right base for the artistic make up too, always soft and never full of pigments: these are my main work-tools. In Trieste, near Giuseppe Verdi Lyric Theatre, in an almost fortuitous way, happened my first approaching to the make-up art. Master Fulvio Cimarosti made me follow in love with the magician of the make- up illusory art. I carried my practical studies in Trieste with the make-up artist Dorina Forti, thank to her I acquired the first real manual character and the professional ethics. In the meantime I kept on with my theoretic formation and finished my university studies in Cinema’s History and Criticism with a degree thesis in the Cinematographic Make up History since Ten till Seventy. After this goal I transferred from Trieste to Florence and continued my training in Bologna near the “Cinema Academy” (Accademia del Cinema a Bologna). At this point I required by myself to made me more professional competitive and so I decided to become an Hairstylist too. I learnt the hairstyle near the Palmer School in Bologna. In New York I attended a stage about television special effects make up, near the Last Look Make up Academy, where I discovered different working methods between Italy and United States. I am really convinced that you must always learn something doing best your job. Every working day is a challenge and a big opportunity to take the risk and grow up in the infinity scale of professionalism. “Observing” is another important rule: we need to watch every face in the daily life and in every situation. For the time being I’m working so much in photographic area with professional photographers in centre-north of Italy. My total professional training allows me to be the right figure for all kinds of events and situations, both photographic job and theatrical, both cinematographic and television, both fashion events and any kinds of shows (from bride to fashion, from casual to glamour), or to create different kinds of special effects. |
